Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control (when applicable via position rotations)
    • Thoroughly test & QC all rental inventory to ensure all equipment is at the highest quality possible
    • Monitor and facilitate the disposition of any equipment found to be damaged or in need of repair during the QC process
    • Communicate progress and/or potential issues with immediate supervisors and/or managers
    • Maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Fulfillment (when applicable via position rotations)
    • Inbound:
      • Receive incoming orders and/or transfers in a timely and accurate manner
      • Inspect incoming equipment for damages and process appropriately
      • Communicate any discrepancies to immediate supervisors and/or managers
      • Maintain a clean and organized work space
    • Outbound: Pull, stage and scan outbound orders and/or transfers in a timely and accurate manner
      • Appropriately package and label outbound orders to ensure our clients receive the highest quality product possible
      • Communicate any discrepancies to immediate supervisors and/or managers in a timely manner to ensure on-time departures
      • Maintain a clean and organized work space

Qualifications: Previous A/V industry experience is required

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Technical aptitude as well as computer and/or computer networking skills a plus.
  • Good communication and organizational skills required
  • Ability to self-motivate and adjust to changing priorities as well as a willingness to take ownership of the position
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, attention to detail, level-headed, sense of humor, and a great attitude

Working Conditions: Ability to work flexible hours including nights and/or weekends

  • Availability to work overtime during peak seasons
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and provide exemplary “can do” service for both internal and external clients
  • Standard working shift is 9 hours

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis

  • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving. Physical activities include using hand tools, bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
  • LED equipment is generally heavy and bulky.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Video QC Lead to oversee the quality control process for all video content and display systems. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of visual excellence during live events. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in telecommunication, electrical systems, and mechanical maintenance, ensuring that all video outputs meet rigorous quality benchmarks before deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the quality control (QC) process for all video content and display systems prior to live event execution.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of video feeds, ensuring clarity, color accuracy, and synchronization.
  • Troubleshoot software issues related to video playback and system integration swiftly to minimize delays.
  • Collaborate with field service teams to identify and resolve hardware or cabling issues on-site.
  • Review schematics and technical documentation to verify system configurations and setup accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of QC checks, system performance, and troubleshooting actions.
  • Provide guidance on mechanical and electrical maintenance procedures to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Assist in training team members on best practices for video quality assurance and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with telecommunication specialists to optimize signal integrity across various connections.
  • Support the installation and calibration of low voltage systems associated with large-scale LED displays.

Experience:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and lead QC department
  • LED QC experience with ROE, Unilumin, or similar products
  • Experience in field service operations involving cabling, schematics interpretation, and software troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components relevant to video display systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics accurately.
  • Prior involvement in QC live event environments is highly desirable.
