The Operations Manager is a pivotal leader in making sure ‘awesome’ goes out the door perfectly presented and on time.

This role will deliver the development and implementation of strategic operational plans as well as developing the most efficient processes to control the timely flow of incoming gear, production, storage, and shipment of audio/video equipment. This role is also responsible for ensuring all operations activities conform to Matrix standards in quality while ensuring the very best health & safety practices

Job Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company as well as overseeing special projects. He or she will effectively supervise the warehouse department leads to ensure and maintain overall warehouse efficiency, accuracy and cleanliness.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee asset management and allocation
  • Maintain accurate inventory control
  • Create and implement policies and procedures to maximize accuracy and efficiency
  • Work closely with warehouse department leads to ensure that deliveries and pickups are scheduled on-time and complete
  • Oversee logistics lead responsible for arranging and monitoring all outbound and inbound shipping using outside shipping companies
  • Daily meetings with warehouse department lead supervisors to ensure proper allocation of gear and review completion of outbound and inbound orders
  • Work closely with sales, project managers, accounting, branch office managers and customers to ensure logistics and/or gear needs are met and accurate
  • Institute Sales and Operating Planning (S&OP) meetings designed to improve demand planning
  • Be available to provide 24-hour customer service when needed and occasional on-call availability
  • Oversee special projects such as building maintenance or construction
  • Work with logistics lead to ensure proper vehicle maintenance, repairs and cleaning
  • Provide constructive feedback and offer suggestions or solutions to inefficiencies and issues that should arise

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Strong A/V knowledge is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of R2 Asset Management Software is a plus
  • Strongly skilled in leadership,  mentoring and developing people
  • Structured and organized to define roles and responsibilities and to hold colleagues and departments accountable for KPI’s
  • Minimum of five years of operations management required

Additional Requirements

Occasional night and weekend coverage is required as well as occasionally being on-call. Being on-call requires, at minimum, to be available by phone by way of direct contact or through our answering service to assist Matrix staff and/or customers with after-hours issues. Job Overview

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for fulfillment of all outbound orders and that they meet our quantity standards, ship complete, and arrive on time.  If we are short they need to sub-rent to ensure complete orders are delivered on time complete.  Our goal is to maximize utilization rates of our gear and if we are frequently he or she will work closely with Project Management and Sales to ensure order accuracy and Customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review all outgoing orders at least once a week in advance or as orders “Pop up”. The goal is quality, on time, and complete.
  • Identify if any additional gear is needed on an order and communicate with a sales rep
  • Allocate in-stock gear to each order. Clear any changes/substitutions with a sales rep and/or customer
  • Pull gear from regional offices ie: LA or strategic partners warehouses
  • Identify gear shorts, arrange sub-rentals
  • Identify items that are subbed repetitively and advise on possible purchase for inventory
  • Oversee large order pulls to ensure accuracy
  • Communicate with Warehouse Manager / Logistics when sub-rentals are to be picked up and returned

Matrix Visual Solutions is the fastest growing supplier of LED video panels for live events in the US. We specialize in renting large-scale LED video walls B2B to Production Companies.  Clients rely on Matrix Visual’s industry-leading technical support and our large and broad assortment of LED video panels to handle even the largest events.  The rapid growth has created a need to hire some additional talent to join our professional team of technicians.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Quality Control – (when applicable via position rotations)
    • Thoroughly test – via QC SOPs – all rental inventory to ensure all equipment is at the highest quality possible
    • Monitor and facilitate the disposition of any equipment found to be damaged or in need of repair during the QC process
    • Communicate progress and/or potential issues with immediate supervisors and/or managers
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Fulfillment – (when applicable via position rotations)
    • Inbound
      • Receive incoming orders and/or transfers in a timely and accurate manner
      • Inspect incoming equipment for damages and process appropriately
      • Communicate any discrepancies to immediate supervisors and/or managers
      • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
    • Outbound
      • Pull, stage and scan outbound orders and/or transfers in a timely and accurate manner
      • Appropriately package and label outbound orders to ensure our clients receive the highest quality product possible
      • Communicate any discrepancies to immediate supervisors and/or managers in a timely manner to ensure on-time departures
      • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Qualifications

  • No prerequisite time in position required
  • Previous industry experience is a plus but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Technical aptitude as well as computer and/or computer networking skills a plus.
  • Good communication and organizational skills required
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to self-motivate and adjust to changing priorities as well as a willingness to take ownership of the position
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, attention to detail, level-headed, sense of humor, and a great attitude

 

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work flexible hours – including nights and/or weekends
  • Availability to work overtime during peak seasons
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and provide exemplary “can do” service for both internal and external clients
  • A standard working shift is 9 hours

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving. Physical activities include using hand tools, bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
  • LED equipment is generally heavy and bulky.
