Job Description
State of the art audio visual company seeking an accounting specialist to start immediately. Full time, benefits, paid time off, medical and dental insurance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes payments and controls by receiving , processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Protects Organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Performs bookkeeping in compliance with US GAAP
- Processes 100+ invoices weekly
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
- Produce manual checks as needed
- Assist in month, quarter, and year end close
- Reconciles AP aging and AP trial balance with GL
- Accurately operates the online ADP payroll system to process semi-monthly payroll and PTO tracking
- Perform monthly AP accruals and month-end balance sheet reconciliations
- Reviewing and auditing entries as needed for accuracy and correct coding errors
- Cross train with and assist other accounting staff to complete duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years accounting experience in Accounts Payable
- Extremely organized with keen attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Positive, persistent, and personable phone etiquette, able to collect money and build Vendor relationships
- Must be able to handle fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task
- 1099 and sales tax knowledge
- Peach Tree (Sage 50) or similar accounting software experience
- R2 inventory management experience is a plus
- Advanced Excel experience for accounting using V look up and table array
JOB TYPE: Full Time
Competitive salary- $45-$60K annually
