Key Considerations

Planning an LED wall starts with a few important decisions, and this LED screen calculator brings them together in one place. Select a product category and product, then enter your desired wall dimensions. The calculator will show your total wall size, resolution, number of LED tiles, and power requirements, updating in real time as you adjust your inputs. Keep viewing distance in mind when choosing a product, since the best pixel pitch depends on how far away your audience will be. Use the results to compare configurations, spot potential problems early, and walk into your next conversation with a clear picture of what you need.  See how pixel pitch, size, and power come into play:

Pixel Pitch

Pixel pitch is the distance, in millimeters, from the center of one LED to the center of the next. A smaller pitch packs more pixels into the same space, which gives a sharper image at close range but costs more. A quick rule of thumb: your minimum comfortable viewing distance in feet is roughly equal to the pitch in millimeters.

Size and Resolution

An LED wall is built from tiles, so its size and resolution are linked. Total wall dimensions come from multiplying the tile size by the number of tiles across and high, and resolution comes from how many pixels fit in each tile. Because tiles come in fixed sizes, your finished wall may land slightly off your target dimensions or a standard video format like 1920×1080. Knowing the wall’s native resolution helps you plan your content so images stay sharp rather than being stretched or cropped.

Power

LED wall power draw depends on brightness, content, and the number of panels. Maximum draw (all pixels at full white) is what you use to size circuits and breakers, while average draw reflects typical video content and is closer to your real running cost. Planning for both keeps you safe on electrical capacity and realistic on operating costs.
